Malhotra for a Weekend!

Hello everyone!!!

I'm back with some more exciting IIT Experience! This time, I'll be taking you off campus and to Naperville, to my brother-from-another-mother's place, the Malhotras! You see, for my first Thanksgiving experience, my super moving to the groove friend Rishab (the brother-from-another-mother) was superbly nice as to invite me over to his parents' place for the holidays! I was going to be a Malhotra for a week-end!

The exciting Thanksgiving adventure started with a half hour train ride to Naperville, one of the best places to live in within the United States. After a little shopping and exploring we headed off to watch a movie. I met Rishab's really cool parents and his joke-telling brother that recently became a orthodontist. Rishab says that he has a crazy family, I say they are full of awesomeness!! This first day was only the warm up, the actual Thanksgiving fest was the next day!

We woke up at 10:00am and got ready to head off to a Malhotra friend's place. The Malhotra family and other friends and relatives had been celebrating Thanksgiving at this same house for the past ten years! The people were so friendly and polite, but at the same time extremely funny (like Rishab) and full of fun! The food was AMAZING! It is definitely Indian Food and turkey with gravy, but my gosh it was good. As if that were not enough, the dessert, pie with chocolate, was the icing on the cake. An awesome experience, I was so glad that I got the chance to experience my first Thanksgiving in such a fantastic Malhotra-like fashion! To end the fantastic Thanksgiving experience, we took advantage of Black Friday and bought a few things. What a holiday!

Here at IIT, anywhere on campus, even behind office corners behind cabinets, you will meet fantastic people like Rishab that will help you make your Holidays and your IIT experience one of the best and one of the most memorable of your lives. At IIT you will find people from all over the World and with such different backgrounds that it will seem that the World had suddenly come together to meet and befriend.

Don't miss the fun people! Hope everyone had an amazing holiday!

P.S: Many thanks to the Malhotra family and friends for making my first Thanksgiving one of the most outstanding and everlasting experiences! Thanks brother Rishab!
